By accessing or using PetRaters ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use PetRaters. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others.
  • You must verify your email address to post reviews or comments.

4. Content Guidelines

All content you post on PetRaters must follow these rules:

  • Honest reviews only: Reviews must be based on your genuine, first-hand experience with the product.
  • No fake or incentivized reviews: Posting reviews in exchange for payment, free products, or any other compensation is strictly prohibited.
  • No spam or self-promotion: Do not post links to your own products or services.
  • No offensive content: Do not post hate speech, harassment, or content that is illegal, obscene, or harmful.
  • No personal information: Do not share other people's private information without their consent.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post, but grant PetRaters a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content on the Site. PetRaters's branding, design, and original content are protected by copyright.

6. Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.99/month through Paddle. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice. We also reserve the right to remove any content that violates our guidelines.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

PetRaters is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Reviews represent the opinions of individual users, not PetRaters. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content.

9. Limitation of Liability

PetRaters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on user-submitted reviews.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
